Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Classly: Attendance Tracker mobile application ("Classly" or "the App"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Classly does
Classly helps you track class attendance, keep your timetable, plan exams and assignments, and see how your attendance compares with your targets. Its predictions are estimates based on the data you enter and are not official academic records.
2. Your data and backups
- Your subjects, timetable, attendance, notes and plans are stored on your device.
- Classly does not operate accounts or keep a server copy of your data. Clearing app data or uninstalling the App removes it permanently unless you have saved a backup file.
- You are responsible for keeping any backup files you export.
3. Google Calendar Sync
If you connect Google Calendar Sync, you authorise Classly to create and manage a dedicated calendar in your Google account. Your use of Google services is subject to Google's terms and privacy policy. Classly does not read or change your other calendars, but you are responsible for your Google account and for reviewing events it creates.
4. Pricing
Classly is currently free, including features previously offered as Premium. If paid features are offered in the future, their price and terms will be shown in the App before any purchase.
5. Open-source software
Classly's source code is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. The App includes open-source components under their own licenses, listed in the App under More → About → Licenses & Attribution. Those licenses take precedence over these Terms for the components they cover.
6. No warranty and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any attendance discrepancies, academic consequences, lost data, or other damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
7. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new date. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
