Make your class timetable and share it with a QR code

Enter your semester and subjects, check the week, then share one QR code with your class group. Classmates scan it with their phone camera and the whole timetable opens in Classly, ready to import. No account, and your timetable is never uploaded.

Turn the calculation into a planMark each class, simulate what happens next, then keep your timetable and tasks together. Free, offline-first, no Classly account.

How to make and share your timetable

  1. Name the semester and pick its start and end dates (up to one year).
  2. Optionally choose what you study, so the right subject names are suggested first.
  3. Add each subject with its weekly class times, and a room if you like. Use “Copy to…” for classes that repeat on other days.
  4. Press See timetable to check the week, then Share.
  5. Save the QR image and post it in your class group, or share or copy the link.

What travels in the QR code

Subject names, short names, colours, rooms, weekly class times and the semester dates. That is everything a classmate needs to start tracking attendance from the first class, and nothing personal.

Same QR code as the app

The code made here is the same as Share with classmates in the Classly app, so it works with every version of the app that can import a shared timetable. Already use Classly? Share straight from the app's Subjects screen.

Common questions

Do I need the Classly app or an account to make a timetable?

No. Make and share the timetable right here in the browser. Only the classmates who want to import it need Classly; anyone else can open the link and see the subjects on a web page.

Where is my timetable stored?

Only in your browser, as a draft, and inside the link itself. Classly has no server copy: the timetable sits after the # in the link, which browsers never send to a server.

What happens when a classmate scans the QR code?

With Classly installed, the app opens the import screen with every subject, class time and room filled in. Without it, the link shows the timetable on a web page with a button to get the app.

Is the semester shared too?

Yes. With the latest Classly, classmates who have no semester set up yet get your start and end dates; anyone who already has a semester keeps theirs. Attendance, notes and targets are never shared.

Why can I add only 20 subjects, and why is my QR code missing?

A QR code holds a limited amount of text before phone cameras struggle to read it. Twenty subjects fit comfortably; if a very full timetable still makes the link too long, share the link instead of the QR code.
